Did I Notice Your Book?

On December 1st, Did I Notice Your Book is going viral. Around a dozen blogs will each choose one book from a specific genre. All the same components mentioned below will be involved. We will tweet under the #Noticebook hash tag and see if all the authors find their books. I’ll have a list on my blog with links to each of the locations.

At this time, I have the following genres represented: Urban Fantasy, New Adult, Inspirational, Mystery, Erotica, Young Adult, Paranormal, Sci-Fi, and Suspense Thriller. If you are interested in participating, and would like to choose a book from another genre, please contact me. I’d love a total of a dozen blogs.

Now, for our regular Did I Notice Your Book post. :)

It’s that time of week again. Anyone for a writing experiment?

With all the new tools out there to monitor book sales and blurbs mentioned about their books, I’m going to highlight a new book each week. I’ll post it in the morning. If by the end of the day that author finds her book on this post I want her or him to tell us how they discovered it; word of mouth through the close network of writers, a Yahoo group mention, or through some new fangled Google tool.

Now, how will I choose this book each week? It will be a book that caught my attention. As a reader, I will keep an eye out for something that either provoked me to read the blurb, look at the author’s blog, or purchase said book.

Before I reveal my choice I want to clarify that this author has no idea that I’ve chosen his/her book.

The book I noticed was: Night Walker by Lisa Kessler

He gave up his soul for a second chance to love her…

Two and a half centuries ago, Calisto Terana lost everything when a zealous priest murdered the woman he loved. Now, desperate for another chance to love her, he wants redemption for the mistake that cost her life.

She’s haunted by dreams of her own death…

After catching her fiance with another woman, Kate Bradley returns to San Diego to clear her head. The last thing she needs is romance, but after meeting Calisto she’s drawn to him in ways she doesn’t understand.

They’ve waited in the shadows for centuries…

Calisto has no doubt Kate is the reincarnation of his lost love, but the Fraternidad Del Fuego Santo has a new watcher with dark ambitions of his own. As old enemies reemerge and a new threat arises, the betrayal that enslaved Calisto to the night might destroy the only woman he’s ever loved again.

Confession time, I swear I already highlighted this book and had to look through all the old posts to make sure. Nope it wasn’t there. I’ve read Across the Veil by Lisa Kessler and loved it. Not to mention the raving endorsements from bestselling authors like Kelley Armstrong, a great blurb, hot cover, and fantastic reviews. Yeah, not much more to say. I think I’ll be reading this one. :)

Another one of these kinds of stories. Might be good, but not something I’d probably read. I like the fact that it takes place in San Diego. It’s fun to see what happens here. Oh Lisa, where are you?
