Something new I’m working on, here at the blog, is reading one book a week. This week I’m reading A Stiff Kiss by Avery Olive. I’m about 20% in and loving it. I won’t be doing a review on this blog, but I’ll have one up at Goodreads. I know I won’t always succeed at this goal, but I’m going to give it a try.
I’d like to extend an apology to Captain Alex and a few others. I’ve had some issues with my sidebar. Things are not loading properly. The image is still there, it just isn’t showing.
Someone asked me the other day why I’m not sharing my writing information here, so here it goes.
1) I just finished writing a novella to a YA series that I haven’t decided what I’m going to do with it, yet.
Book I of the series has been written, but needs some editing.
I’ll get back to that at a later date.
2) I’m getting ready for the launch of my Young Adult Book, Rise From Darkness. I hope to have the ARC from my publisher soon. The tour starts on March 19th, so coming up quick.
3) I finished writing Book II, Fall From Grace, and it is with a critique partner now.
4) Going to start Book III, Ascension of Evil. It’s under contract so I need to get a move on.
5) I’ve been working on outlining Book II of The Gremdon Chronicles.
6) I just received an e-mail from my publisher that The Curse of Gremdon is live on Kobo.
7) Oh, and I started a day job. YIkes!
Your turn, what are you up to?

Hidden at the top of the list is spending time with the hubby and kids but we all know that because without their help and support you wouldn’t be the fantastic author you are today
Lindsay – Such a fantastic point. Family always comes first for me. I guess I missed the part about attending extra curricular activities, volunteering in the classrooms, working on homework, and playing Star Wars Chess with them after school.
And, somewhere in there I get to play PS3 with hubby and watch TV. I confess, hubby deserves way more of my time than he receives.
I’ve been knee deep in my second pass edits for Taste. Oh, and that swag bag filled with goodies is awesome!
I still need to do my photo with Curse of Gremdon. Argh…Too many tasks and too little time. You sound like you are also short on time. :/
Yikes you started a day job on top of all that, good luck with it all!
Thanks, Kate. Good luck with the edits.
Brinda – I can’t wait to see it!!!
Catherine – thanks. I might be committed soon.
On top of all that writing you’ve started a day job? Yikes, indeed! The swag looks awesome and my cat says to tell you she enjoyed The Curse of Gremdon as much as I did!
congrats on the day job and other news, and that cat pic might just beat the Borg guy from last week
Wow you have a lot of projects in the works! And tote bags must make good swag.
Tell your cat thank you, Laura.
Dezmond, I think it will give the Borg a run for it.
Alex – I agree.
I’m halfway through writing my dystopian fiction, one-fourth through a sequel for Two Halves and a novella. I keep going back and forth between the projects depending on what I feel like in the morning.
You are so busy…Make sure to take time for you..Congrats on everything going on..
You have such a creative mind. I think I maybe have one or two ideas and I need to milk those in order to be a writer. After that…I got nothin’.
Thanks awesome, Marta.
Savannah – I’ll try.
Michael – I’m sure you have tons of ideas. I can’t wait to read them.
Wow you’ve got so much going on!! You sound like a busy writer!
Crude! I feel so behind now!
But that fact you are getting all that done and staring a job is inspiring.
Ciara, I’m in awe! You are so busy!
Wow, you have a lot of projects in the works, and a day job now, too.
If you need a tour stop for your next launch, you’re always welcome at my blog. http://mpaxauthor.blogspot.com gets more traffic.
HIldie – no more than anyone else here.
SouthPaw – Well we’ll see how it goes.
Julia – You are Super Woman.
Mary – Thanks so much!! That’s awesome.
One word……..OVERACHIEVER!
An author gets a d-d-d-d-d-ay job? Just got a case of the cold chills … what if my wife sees this?
AND a day job? I’ll ask you what I asked Alex … do you ever sleep? LOL! I would be freaking, I think.
Julie – LOL
Christopher – I promise not to tell your wife.
Carol – Not much.
I got too many things on the same burner
I’m slowly working through my list of reviews, beta reads, and some revisions.
Good luck juggling the day job and the writing blogging.
………dhole
Have mercy, Ciara. I got tired and probably aged a year just looking at all you’ve got going on. I don’t know how you’re balancing it all, but keep it up. You seem to be doing pretty good.
Donna – Yes, reviews and beta reads have to fit in there. They are so important. Good luck with your revisions.
Angela – LOL, I hope it pays off.
OMZ you have a lot going on! I like to stay busy, but not THAT busy. I love Laura’s pic above. I wouldn’t be able to snap a pic like that with my dog. She’d lick my Kindle.
